Juneteenth Holiday Pickup Schedule

The Highway and Sanitation Departments will be closed on Monday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.   There will be no trash or recycling pickups on that day.  Recycling will have to be held for pick up on the following Monday, June 26th.  District 2 will only have trash pickup on Thursday of that week, June 22nd.  Any questions or concerns please call the Highway Dept. @ 854.534.2171.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Cornwall will hold a special meeting to discuss the draft Tree Preservation Law, and to schedule Public Hearings for Bond Resolutions, and to consider any other matters which may come before the Board on Tuesday, the 6th day of June, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Town Hall, 183 Main Street, Cornwall, New York 12518.

TOWN BOARD SPECIAL MEETING - 4/27/23 at 7:00 pm

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Cornwall, in the County of Orange, State of New York, will meet at the Town Hall, 183 Main Street, Cornwall, New York, on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 7:00 P.M. for the purpose appointing a Full-Time Police Officer and any other business that may come before the Board.

Recreation Summer Staff Positions

The Town of Cornwall Recreation Department is now accepting applications for the following summer staff positions:

Camp Director
Assistant Camp Director
Health Director / Camp Nurse
Camp Counselors
Asst. Pool Director
Lifeguards

Interested applicants can pick-up an employment application at the TOC Recreation Department located in Munger Cottage between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.  Applications are also available for download on the town’s website www.cornwallny.com 

Firthcliffe Heights Water District Residents - Hydrant Flushing Notice

The Town of New Windsor Water Department will begin flushing fire hydrants from April 17th through April 28, 2023.  During this time customers in the Town of New Windsor, Firthcliffe Heights, and Stewart properties may experience low pressure and/or discolored water.  Please contact Scott VanDyke at 845-561-2550 if you have any questions for any further information.
