5 October Parking Restrictions for Sunday, October 8th – Fall Festival October 5, 2023 By Denise Provnick General 0 On Sunday October 8th 2023, in support of the Fall Festival, the following road closures will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Main Street will be closed to all traffic between the traffic circle and Hazen Street. There will be no parking on Main Street, Torrey Lane, or Willow Avenue between Main Street and Broadway. Side streets in the surrounding area will have parking restricted to one side of the street. Please keep in mind that vehicles remaining on Main Street during this time will be subject to towing at the vehicle owner’s expense. Related Articles Parking Restrictions for Sunday, September 18th Fall Festival Parking restrictions for the Fall Festival: Sunday, September 18, 2022, there will be No Parking on Main Street from the Traffic Circle to Hazen Street from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. There will be No Parking on Torrey Lane from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and side streets will be restricted to one side of the street. 4th of July Parking Restrictions There will be NO PARKING from 08:00- 11:00pm on the following streets: Main Street from Hudson Street to Academy Avenue Hudson Street from Main Street to First Street North Street South Street Center Street Quaker Avenue from Elm to the Traffic Circle Hasbrouck from the Traffic Circle to Clinton Street Parking will be restricted to one side of the street on the following streets: McCann No parking on the West side of street Tamarra No parking on the West side of street Hazen Street No parking on the West side of street Union Street from Main to Clinton No parking on the West side of street Broadway No Parking on the West side of the Street Clinton Street No Parking on the South side Grand Street No Parking on the South Side The following restrictions will also be in place: **Main Street from the Circle to Willow No Parking either side from 3:00-6:30pm **Main Street from Willow to South Street No parking either side from 3:00-11:00pm ** These are the two areas of biggest concern as parking is parking is permitted on Main Street from the Traffic Circle to South Street up until 3:00PM then vehicles have to be removed in preparation for the parade. After the parade, vehicles may park on Main Street from the Traffic Circle to Willow Avenue but there is NO PARKING on Main Street from Willow Ave to South Street for the remainder of the night due to the large influx of pedestrian traffic Parking is permitted at the Cornwall Middle School, The Cornwall Elementary School at Lee Road and any street that doesn’t have any posted restrictions Parking Restrictions for Sunday, October 1st – Color Bash On Sunday October 1st 2023, in support of The Town of Cornwall Youth Committee’s 2023 Color Bash, the following road closures will be in effect from 2:50 p.m. to approximately 3:40 p.m.: Main Street will be closed to all traffic between Hudson Street and Union Street. Willow Avenue will be closed between Main and Grand Street. Broadway will be closed between Willow Avenue and Bridge Street. No parking will be permitted on Bridge Street. Anyone wishing to park at Town Hall in advance of or during a snowstorm may do so as long as they register their vehicle with the Town of Cornwall Police Department by emailing Chief Gebert at jgebert@cornwallny.gov It will be necessary to provide your name, make, model and license plate number along with a good phone contact number as you may be contacted to move your vehicle in support of Town Hall plowing operations.
