NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING - 08-14-23

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT THE TOWN OF CORNWALL TOWN BOARD WILL HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 8:30 a.m.at Town Hall, 183 Main Street, Cornwall, NY 12518.  The purpose of the special meeting is to discuss approval of certain infrastructure work required on an existing sewer line which needs to be performed on an expedited basis, and any other business that may come before the Town Board at that time.

Special Town Board Meeting 7-24-23

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Cornwall, in the County of Orange, State of New York, will meet at the Town Hall Conference Room, 183 Main Street, Cornwall, New York, on Monday, July 24, 2023, at 3:30 P.M. to act on an IMA for a shared piece of equipment, Negative Declarations for WIIA grants, and any other business that may come before the Boards.

UPDATE: ZBA Public Hearing - 2 Girls 1 Boy Holdings, LLC (317 Main St.) - MONDAY 7-17-23

UPDATE: Due to flooding in the courtroom, the 7-17-23 Zoning Board of Appeals meeting will be held at Munger Cottage, 40 Munger Drive.

The Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on the application of 2 Girls 1 Boy Holdings, LLC (317 Main St.)  on MONDAY, July 17, 2023 at 7:00 pm at Munger Cottage, 40 Munger Drive, Cornwall.  The published Legal Notice mistakenly listed the day as Tuesday.

TOWN BOARD SPECIAL MEETING - 7/11/23 at 6:30 pm

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT THE TOWN OF CORNWALL TOWN BOARD WILL HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Conference Room, 183 Main St., Cornwall, NY to conduct interviews for various Committees/Boards and any other business that may come before the Town Board at that time.

4th of July Parking Restrictions

There will be NO PARKING from 08:00- 11:00pm on the following streets:
Main Street from Hudson Street to Academy Avenue
Hudson Street from Main Street to First Street
North Street
South Street
Center Street
Quaker Avenue from Elm to the Traffic Circle
Hasbrouck from the Traffic Circle to Clinton Street

Parking will be restricted to one side of the street on the following streets:
McCann No parking on the West side of street
Tamarra No parking on the West side of street
Hazen Street No parking on the West side of street
Union Street from Main to Clinton No parking on the West side of street
Broadway No Parking on the West side of the Street
Clinton Street No Parking on the South side
Grand Street No Parking on the South Side

The following restrictions will also be in place:
**Main Street from the Circle to Willow No Parking either side from 3:00-6:30pm
**Main Street from Willow to South Street  No parking either side from 3:00-11:00pm

** These are the two areas of biggest concern as parking is parking is permitted on Main Street from the Traffic Circle to South Street up until 3:00PM then vehicles have to be removed in preparation for the parade. After the parade, vehicles may park on Main Street from the Traffic Circle to Willow Avenue but there is NO PARKING on Main Street from Willow Ave to South Street for the remainder of the night due to the large influx of pedestrian traffic

Parking is permitted at the Cornwall Middle School, The Cornwall Elementary School at Lee Road and any street that doesn’t have any posted restrictions

4th of July Holiday Pickup Schedule

The Highway and Sanitation Departments will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.  There will be no trash or recycling pickups on that day.  District 1 will only have trash pickup on Friday of that week, July 7th.  Recycling will have to be held for pick up on the following Tuesday, July 11th.  Any questions or concerns please call the Highway Dept. @ 854.534.2171.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

Juneteenth Holiday Pickup Schedule

The Highway and Sanitation Departments will be closed on Monday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.   There will be no trash or recycling pickups on that day.  Recycling will have to be held for pick up on the following Monday, June 26th.  District 2 will only have trash pickup on Thursday of that week, June 22nd.  Any questions or concerns please call the Highway Dept. @ 854.534.2171.  Sorry for any inconvenience.
